Endowment fund is established to support social and emotional healthIn February of 2020 the Greenhill community lost a beloved member of the Class of 2019, Alec Reid Becker.A group of parents and friends came together to create an endowment fund to honor his life. Alec was a delightful student, passionate teammate, and adored leader in the Greenhill community. The fund will support the social and emotional well-being of our students, including our counseling program, programming for students, faculty, and families, and other important resources. The fund will allow Alec’s true joy in caring for others to endure.Classmates have shared sentiments such as:“His joyous personality, raw intellect, and caring nature were instantly apparent – to me, he was the perfect example of The Greenhill Student.”“He was so caring and always wanted everyone around him to be happy and you could feel it in his smile.”"He had the ability to hear people who didn’t know how to make themselves be heard."“Alec always helped those around him and left everyone happier with his beaming smile and such a genuinely kind personality.”This fund will support Greenhill students in perpetuity.Alec Reid Becker Endowment Fund for Student Social & Emotional Well-Being
Established in 2020 to honor the life of Alec Becker ’19, his contributions and passionate commitment to the Greenhill community, and the compassion and support he constantly provided to his peers from PreK through 12th grade. The fund will support the social and emotional well-being of our students, including support for our counseling program, programming for students, staff and families, and related resources. Through this fund, Alec’s gift of spreading love and joy, and especially hope and understanding, will endure.
