Thanks to the generosity of our community, a thoughtful budgeting process, prudent decision making, and the leadership of the Board of Trustees, Greenhill ended the 2018-2019 school year in a position of financial and operational strength. During this past fiscal year, the endowment reached $40 million, the highest level in the School’s history. The School’s endowment draw continues to support our faculty and students, and it enables us to enhance our programmatic offerings. From an operational perspective, the School has focused on improving our efficiency to enhance the Greenhill experience for our families and to manage costs. We implemented the FACTS tuition management system, which enabled us to offer the option of a 10-month tuition payment plan and helped us to address the affordability challenge facing many families. We also started the process of converting our campus systems to a new database system called BlackBaud. Once fully implemented, this new system will offer our families the ability to access most Greenhill information in one location. Other highlights from the year include enhancing campus security, constructing a new indoor batting cage, replacing tennis court lights with energy-efficient LEDs, and developing plans to update the William Shirley Family track. Our strong financial position has made these campus improvements possible, while simultaneously allowing us to continue to fund 100% of demonstrated need and to offer our robust academic, arts, and athletics programs.
